Afterglow and Outrage

Afterglow: Last weekend I travelled to Boston with my single on the roof and my keyboard in the trunk to join my friends at Riverside Boat Club for their Holiday party.  As one of the lead singers in TheBlades Riverside gave us lots of love and it was a wonderfully warm evening of singing my ass off and getting rowers dancing to the music... it was kinda like this... but not really! ...but it totally was.  Special Thanks to the RBC HPG guys and gals for letting me tag along Friday and Saturday on their river and rowing w/them.  Fun stuff.

Outrage: Don't let Temple drop their rowing program.  Thank you to those of you on the 'Book who have already signed the petition, here is the link for those of you who have not yet.  Denying students the opportunity to learn about life through sport is a fool's decision.  http://www.thepetitionsite.com/728/253/483/save-temple-rowing-teams/.

Also.. we've got some new equipment (oars) at Malta and we're having fun trying it out.  As part of the process of getting faster off the water this morning we ran some lactate testing, so so generously supported by Mike Halpert, Fred Duling Sr. and Fred Jr, coordinated by our coach Chris McElroy.  We've all been sick this week but despite that results are encouraging.  I'd be more specific but we don't have a full recap yet!  Will get back with details on what I'm working towards.

The process is to continue to work to arrive at full speed come Summer, and it's already December, where has the time gone?
