A Great Spring Day

SPRING!!!
Positive vibes on this post, as I prepare to stretch and roll out after an evening bike/jog on the Kelly Drive path.  And before we get to why, stream-of-consciousness interruption: Siggi's yogurt, available at Whole Foods, is my new favorite thing.  I'm looking forward to seeing the races my novices from Malvern put together tomorrow, after a great week of training from all crews.  It is my expectation that the work they have put in this week, the 3x10' 4'3'2'1', the all-out 6, 5, 4, sets of blasters, the 3x1250m pieces... will give them confidence (and the fitness... is there a difference?) to race strong.  Only 1x1500m? No problem.

Sam and I are also feeling good coming off this week, probably our best yet of training.  Each day has been focused and difficult.  Today was especially good work, similar to something I'd seen once in a Canadian Rowing Youtube vid.  Spracklen was so calm explaining it!  It feels good to finally be allowed to tune it up to go fast.  Ed Bell, creator of the TR-H Last 500 Machine, saw us through today's row and came up with the workout as well.  Thank you Ed!  Craig went out with us Friday PM to make sure we matched up well going into the weekend.

My legs ache, in a good way.  Time to stretch!  Cheers to recovery.

STILL SPRINGGGGG!!
